100 of 196 residents in the Bryant Highrises were seniors.
All were relocated and now have highest priority for moving
into Heritage Commons. Next are seniors who lived in other
public housing on the site being redeveloped as Heritage Park.
Remaining vacancies will be filled from MPHA’s waiting

All apartments
in Heritage Commons have the same universal design features,
so seniors who need assisted-living services can live in any
part of the building. (Commonly in senior design, assisted-living
residents have a separate floor or wing.) Independently-living
seniors can “age in place,” staying in their same
apartments as their needs change.
